Special Education

We currently have an Inclusion Model Special Education Program as well as a PAL program. The PAL program is a program that exists in a limited number of Baltimore City Public Schools, where a specialized instructional model for students with and on the autistic spectrum is delivered.
Students with special education services interact with non-disabled peers in Expedition as well as Math and Literacy. Some students attend small groups outside the general education classroom for extra support and also as per their accommodations. Students who receive Special Education services also attend Cultural Arts classes with their peers. All students at S.B.C.S attend fieldwork together and are taught the same content at their Instructional level.

In our classroom, we have been studying a variety of lifecycles.

This spring, our PAL program visited the legendary B & O Railroad Museum to explore a great piece of our local Baltimore history.

SBCS is proud to announce our scholars placed 1st, 4th, and 6th place in their sporting events at Coppin State University this spring.
